From my work at the Auburn-Opelika Tourism Bureau and through class at Auburn I have learned about the importance of social media, as well as blogging, commenting on other blogs, social press releases and more. Because of this knowledge, I am in charge of the bureau's Twitter account, updating information on our website and researching new ideas on the best ways to use social media effectively. Because of my research, the tourism bureau will soon be starting a business blog and an e-newsletter.
